Description
The Luxtra is a 55cm outdoor LED floor lamp built around a wire cage shade in powder-coated black metal, housing an integrated 18W LED module at 3000K warm white. The cage frame sits on a circular base with a solid black top cap, and the LED inside casts light downward through the base onto the ground beneath, creating a pool of ambient illumination rather than directed task light. An IP44 rating protects the LED module and internal wiring from rain and dust ingress.
Designed for patios, balconies, decking and covered garden areas where mains power is accessible, the Luxtra connects via a 2.5m black neoprene cable with a UK 3-pin plug. The 55cm diameter gives enough presence to anchor a corner of a patio or frame an outdoor seating arrangement without dominating smaller balcony spaces. The wire cage allows wind to pass through, reducing the risk of the lamp tipping in exposed positions, though the base is weighted to provide stability on level surfaces.
The powder-coated black finish resists UV degradation and corrosion from moisture, making the lamp suitable for year-round outdoor installation in the UK climate. The wire frame casts geometric shadow patterns when lit at night, adding visual texture to walls, fencing or planting behind the lamp. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for 25,000+ hours of use, equivalent to approximately 10 years at 7 hours per night. From Ideal Lux, Italy.

Frequently Asked
Is the Luxtra suitable for uncovered outdoor use?
The IP44 rating protects against rain and dust, so the lamp can be used on uncovered patios, decking and balconies exposed to UK weather. Avoid positioning it in standing water or areas where the base will be submerged.
Can the LED be replaced?
No. The integrated LED is sealed into the lamp body and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for 25,000+ hours of use, equivalent to approximately 10 years at 7 hours per night.
How is the lamp powered?
The Luxtra connects to mains power via a 2.5m black neoprene cable with a UK 3-pin plug. You will need access to an outdoor socket or an extension lead rated for outdoor use to power the lamp.
Does the lamp provide upward or downward light?
The LED casts light downward through the base onto the surface beneath, creating a pool of ambient light on the patio or decking. The wire cage itself does not illuminate upward.
