Description

The Luxeon Surface L-Connector is a white plastic joiner that forms a horizontal 90-degree right-angle connection between two sections of Ideal Lux Luxeon track. The connector measures 100mm along each leg, creating a clean corner join without visible cabling or junction boxes protruding from the ceiling plane.

Designed for surface-mounted track lighting installations in retail, gallery, office and residential settings, the L-connector allows track runs to follow wall lines, create rectangular ceiling grids, or navigate around architectural features such as beams or ceiling drops. The connector maintains electrical continuity across the join, so spotlights can be positioned on either side of the corner without requiring a separate feed.

The white thermoplastic housing matches the standard Luxeon track finish and carries an IP20 rating for indoor dry locations only. The connector clips onto the track ends and secures with internal tension fittings, requiring no visible external screws once installed. Total projection from the ceiling remains consistent with the track itself at 100mm.

Is this connector compatible with all track lighting systems?

No. This L-connector is designed specifically for the Ideal Lux Luxeon surface-mounted track system. It will not fit other manufacturers' tracks or Ideal Lux's recessed track systems.

Does the connector carry power across the join?

Yes. The connector maintains electrical continuity between the two track sections, allowing spotlights to be positioned on either leg of the L-shape without requiring a second power feed.

Can it be used for vertical joins between ceiling and wall?

This is a horizontal connector designed for ceiling-to-ceiling right-angle joins. For vertical joins between ceiling and wall-mounted track, a separate vertical L-connector is required.

What does 'On-Off' mean in the product name?

On-Off indicates this is a non-dimmable connector for standard switched circuits. The track system itself does not include integral dimming — dimming would be controlled at the circuit level via a compatible wall dimmer if the spotlights support it.
