Description

The Luxeon Slim is a 1-metre magnetic track system in white powder-coated aluminium, designed for surface mounting on ceilings or walls. The track carries three internal conductors that power magnetic spotlight fittings, which clip onto the track anywhere along its length without tools. The 26mm projection from the ceiling gives a low-profile appearance suitable for modern interiors with standard or low ceiling heights.

The magnetic track system suits retail displays, gallery walls, kitchen task lighting and living spaces where lighting positions need to change over time. Spotlights can be moved, added or removed in seconds by lifting them off the magnetic rail, making the system reconfigurable without re-wiring. The track can be cut to shorter lengths on site or joined end-to-end with linking connectors to create longer runs or L-shaped configurations.

The white aluminium extrusion is rated IP20 for dry indoor use and carries a 5-year warranty. The powder-coated finish resists scratching and colour shift under UV exposure from windows. Dimming compatibility depends on the specific magnetic spotlight fittings used — the track itself carries the mains voltage and control signal, so dimmable LED fittings paired with a compatible dimmer will dim the entire run.

Can the track be cut to a shorter length?

Yes. The aluminium extrusion can be cut with a hacksaw or mitre saw to any length shorter than 1m. The cut end will need an end cap fitting (sold separately) to close the conductor rail and maintain the IP20 rating.

The track surface-mounts to a ceiling or wall using screws through pre-drilled holes along its length. The 26mm height includes the mounting bracket. Electrical connection is made at one end via a feed-in connector that links to mains wiring.

Is the system dimmable?

Dimming depends on the spotlight fittings used. If the magnetic spotlights contain dimmable LED drivers and are paired with a compatible dimmer on the mains circuit, the entire track will dim. Non-dimmable fittings will not respond to a dimmer.
