Description

The Luxeon is a twin-head LED track spotlight with two cylindrical light heads mounted on a magnetic track adaptor, each housing an integrated 12W LED for a combined 24W output at 3000K. The magnetic mounting system clips the spotlight onto compatible magnetic track rails without tools, allowing the unit to be repositioned along the track length and rotated independently on each head to direct light where needed.

Designed for kitchens, retail displays, offices and hospitality spaces where flexible accent lighting is required, the twin-head configuration provides broader coverage than a single spotlight while maintaining the flexibility to angle each beam separately. The 1-10V dimming protocol allows the output to be adjusted via compatible dimmer control systems, making it suitable for spaces where light levels change between task use and ambient settings throughout the day.

The extruded aluminium body is finished in white and weighs less than 500g for the complete twin unit, reducing the load on ceiling-mounted track rails. The 190mm length spans two mounting positions on standard magnetic track, and each cylindrical head measures 40mm diameter by 105mm projection from the track adaptor. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments, and the integrated LEDs carry a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

What track system is this compatible with?

The Luxeon uses magnetic mounting and is designed for Ideal Lux magnetic track rails. It will not fit traditional three-circuit track systems or other manufacturers' magnetic tracks without verifying compatibility. Contact us if you need confirmation for a specific existing track installation.

Can each head be aimed independently?

Yes. Both cylindrical heads rotate and tilt independently, allowing one head to be directed at a worktop while the other aims at a wall or display area. The magnetic adaptor also rotates on the track rail itself, giving a third axis of adjustment.

What dimming protocol does it use?

The Luxeon uses 1-10V dimming, which requires a compatible 1-10V dimmer control and a separate low-voltage control wire run to the track system. It will not dim via standard mains dimmers designed for incandescent or phase-cut LED bulbs.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the spotlight is suitable only for dry indoor locations. Bathrooms require a minimum IP44 rating for zones near basins, baths and showers.
