Description

The Luxeon is a twin track spotlight system with two adjustable LED heads mounted on a 190mm magnetic track rail. Each head houses an integrated 8W LED delivering 4000K neutral white light through a recessed reflector, giving a combined 16W output across both spotlights. The matt black extruded aluminium rail and cylindrical heads are designed for ceiling track systems where the magnetic connection allows the entire unit to be repositioned along the track or removed without tools.

Designed for accent lighting in retail displays, art galleries, home offices and kitchen islands, the twin-head configuration provides directed light to two separate points from a single track position. Each cylindrical head rotates and tilts independently, allowing one to highlight a wall-mounted piece while the other illuminates a desk surface or product shelf below. The 4000K colour temperature produces neutral white light that renders colours accurately without the warm yellow cast of 3000K or the clinical tone of 5000K.

The magnetic track system uses embedded magnets in the rail to hold the spotlight unit in place while maintaining electrical contact with the track circuit. This means the Luxeon can be slid along the track to adjust coverage zones or removed entirely for cleaning, repainting or reconfiguration without isolating the power supply. The matt black finish on both the rail and heads minimises visual distraction when the lights are off, keeping attention on the illuminated subjects rather than the fittings themselves. The extruded aluminium construction dissipates heat efficiently, extending LED lifespan without requiring external cooling fans or vents.

What track system does this fit?

The Luxeon uses a magnetic track system where the rail contains both electrical contacts and magnets. It requires a compatible magnetic track rail (sold separately) rather than standard three-circuit track systems. Contact us to confirm compatibility with your existing track infrastructure before ordering.

Can the heads be adjusted independently?

Yes. Each of the two cylindrical heads rotates and tilts independently on its mounting stem, allowing them to be directed at different angles and targets from the single 190mm rail position.

Is the 16W output dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is rated at 16W total (8W per head) and is not compatible with dimmer switches or control systems. The light output is fixed at full brightness when powered.

What colour temperature is 4000K suitable for?

4000K produces neutral white light that sits between the warm yellow of 3000K and the cool blue-white of 5000K. It renders colours accurately without adding a noticeable tint, making it suitable for retail displays, galleries, workspaces and kitchens where colour accuracy matters.
