Description

The Luxeon is a 284mm linear track light module with an integrated 13W 3000K LED, designed to clip magnetically onto Ideal Lux Ego profile track systems. The module contains a 1-10V dimming driver, allowing brightness adjustment from full output down to low ambient levels when paired with a compatible 1-10V controller.

Designed for retail accent lighting, gallery installations, and residential spaces where reconfigurable directional lighting is needed, the Luxeon installs without tools by clicking onto the magnetic track rail and can be repositioned along the track length at any time. The matt black finish matches Ideal Lux Ego track profiles in black, creating a continuous visual line when multiple modules are installed on the same run. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations.

The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light appropriate for illuminating merchandise, artwork, or architectural features without the cooler tone associated with 4000K commercial LED. At 284mm length and 22mm projection from the track surface, the module provides a low-profile presence suitable for standard ceiling heights. The module connects to track power via the magnetic coupling, eliminating exposed wiring and allowing installation without an electrician once the track itself is wired to mains.

Is this compatible with all magnetic track systems?

The Luxeon is designed for Ideal Lux Ego profile magnetic track systems. Compatibility with other manufacturers' magnetic tracks is not guaranteed due to differences in voltage configuration, magnetic coupling strength and profile dimensions.

How is the dimming controlled?

The module contains a 1-10V dimming driver. Dimming requires a separate 1-10V controller wired into the track system during installation. The controller sends a 1-10V signal to the module, adjusting output from full brightness down to low levels. Standard phase-cut dimmers are not compatible.

Can modules be repositioned after installation?

Yes. The Luxeon clips magnetically onto the track rail and can be moved along the track length without tools. Power is transferred via the magnetic coupling, so repositioning does not require rewiring.

What ceiling height is this suited to?

The 22mm projection and compact 284mm length work in most residential and retail spaces with ceiling heights from 2.4m to 4m. In higher commercial spaces the beam spread may require closer module spacing to maintain even coverage.
