Description

The Luxeon dimmable main power connector is the mains feed point for Ideal Lux's magnetic track lighting system, housed in a 95mm black polycarbonate body with an 18mm projection from the track. It accepts 230V mains input and distributes power along the track to any magnetic-mount spotlights or pendants clipped onto the track surface, while supporting dimming protocols sent down the track from a compatible wall dimmer.

Designed for ceiling-mounted or suspended track installations in residential and commercial interiors, the connector fits at any point along a Luxeon track run — typically at the start of a run where the mains cable drops from the ceiling rose, though mid-run feed points are also possible on longer installations. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations such as living rooms, kitchens, retail spaces and galleries. The black finish matches the Luxeon track profile and magnetic spotlight housings for a unified system appearance.

The polycarbonate housing is impact-resistant and lightweight, keeping the connector's mass low when mounted overhead. Internal copper contacts provide the electrical connection between the mains cable and the track's conductive rails, while a screw terminal block inside the housing accepts standard UK ring or radial circuit cables. Installation requires a qualified electrician to connect the mains supply and secure the connector to the track, after which magnetic spotlights can be positioned and repositioned by hand without tools or re-wiring.
