Description

The Luxeon is a magnetic twin track spotlight system with two 5W integrated LED heads mounted on a 190mm white aluminium rail. Each head houses a 3000K LED delivering warm white light, and both heads can be repositioned along the magnetic track without tools. The dimmable LEDs allow brightness adjustment via a compatible dimmer switch.

Designed for accent lighting in living rooms, hallways, kitchens and bedrooms, the Luxeon suits spaces where fixed ceiling positions need flexible light direction. The magnetic rail mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose or junction box, and the two spotlight heads clip onto the track magnetically, allowing them to slide left or right along the 190mm length and rotate independently on their stems to target artwork, shelves, seating areas or worktops.

The extruded aluminium rail and heads are finished in matt white, giving a clean profile that sits comfortably against white or light-coloured ceilings without visual contrast. The 25mm projection from ceiling to rail and 40mm head height keep the overall profile low, making the fitting suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights. The IP20 rating limits the Luxeon to dry indoor use only.

Each 5W LED head outputs approximately 400 lumens at 3000K, providing enough directed light for accent and task purposes without the heat or energy draw of halogen equivalents. The combined 10W load across both heads runs comfortably on a standard lighting circuit, and the 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covers the integrated LEDs and magnetic track mechanism.

Can the spotlight heads be repositioned after installation?

Yes. The heads clip onto the magnetic track and can be slid along the 190mm rail length and rotated on their stems without tools. This allows you to redirect light as furniture or artwork placement changes over time.

Is the Luxeon compatible with dimmer switches?

The integrated LEDs are dimmable, but compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model. Most leading-edge LED dimmers will work, but trailing-edge dimmers may be required for flicker-free dimming at lower brightness levels. Test with your dimmer before final installation or contact us for compatibility advice.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 25mm rail projection and 40mm head height give a combined depth of 65mm from ceiling to bottom of the spotlight heads. This low profile works well with standard 2.4m UK ceiling heights without the heads sitting noticeably low into the room.

Can additional heads be added to the track?

The Luxeon is supplied as a fixed twin-head system on a 190mm rail. Ideal Lux produces longer magnetic track systems in the same range that accept additional heads, but this specific 190mm model is designed as a complete twin-head unit and cannot be extended.
