Description

The Luxeon is a magnetic track spotlight with an integrated 9W LED module, a cylindrical black aluminium housing, and 1-10V dimming compatibility. The spotlight clips onto Ideal Lux magnetic track systems via an integrated magnetic mounting plate, allowing it to be repositioned along the track without tools or re-wiring. The 3000K LED casts warm white directional light through a faceted reflector that concentrates the beam into a focused accent pool.

Designed for retail displays, galleries, and residential accent lighting where artwork, shelving or architectural details need directional highlighting, the Luxeon pairs with Ideal Lux magnetic track in configurations from single-head runs to multi-head arrays. The magnetic mounting system means the spotlight can be slid along the track and rotated on its stem to adjust the beam position as displays or layouts change. The 96mm height and 190mm length give the fitting enough projection to clear the track and direct light at an angle.

The extruded aluminium housing sheds heat efficiently, allowing the LED to run at stable output over the 5-year warranty period without forced ventilation. The black anodised finish absorbs ambient light rather than reflecting it, so the fitting recedes visually when the spotlight is directed away from the viewer. The IP20 rating limits installation to dry indoor environments — the fitting is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens above hobs, or outdoor use.

Can the spotlight be moved after installation?

Yes. The Luxeon clips onto Ideal Lux magnetic track systems via an integrated magnetic mounting plate. Once the track is installed and powered, individual spotlights can be slid along the track, added, removed or rotated without tools or electrical work.

What dimming protocol does it use?

The Luxeon requires a 1-10V dimming system. This is a commercial/architectural dimming standard where a separate low-voltage control signal (1-10V DC) adjusts the LED driver output. Standard domestic trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmers will not work with this spotlight.

Does it come with the track?

No. The spotlight is sold separately. The Ideal Lux magnetic track system (power track, end caps, connectors, and driver) is sold as a separate component. Contact us if you need guidance on configuring a complete track lighting system.

Can it be used in a bathroom or kitchen?

No. The IP20 rating means the spotlight is only rated for dry indoor environments. It is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens above hobs, or any location where it may be exposed to water, steam or high humidity.
