Description

The Luxeon is a 284mm adjustable LED track light with an integrated 13W 3000K LED module housed in a white extruded aluminium body. The light unit rotates and tilts within the track mount, allowing precise directional control for accent lighting, gallery displays, retail shelving or architectural features that need targeted illumination rather than broad wash light.

Designed for recessed or surface-mounted track systems, the Luxeon uses a magnetic fixing that clips into compatible Ideal Lux track channels. This allows the light to be repositioned along the track run without rewiring, making it suitable for commercial spaces where display layouts change regularly and for residential installations where lighting needs evolve. The dimmable LED output can be controlled via a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit, allowing light intensity to be adjusted from full output down to low ambient levels.

The extruded aluminium body measures 284mm in length with a 22mm projection from the track face once installed. The white powder-coated finish provides a neutral appearance that recedes into white or light-coloured ceilings while remaining visible enough to locate the fixture for adjustment. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light comparable to halogen sources, avoiding the cooler blue-white cast of higher colour temperatures. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments.

Each Luxeon unit operates as a single integrated LED module rather than a replaceable bulb system. The 13W output delivers approximately 1,100 lumens depending on the specific LED chip generation used in this production batch. The magnetic track interface works exclusively with Ideal Lux track systems and is not compatible with generic three-circuit track or other manufacturers' proprietary systems.

Is this compatible with standard track lighting systems?

No. The Luxeon uses a magnetic fixing system designed exclusively for Ideal Lux track channels. It will not fit generic three-circuit track, Halo track, or other manufacturers' proprietary systems. Contact us to confirm track compatibility before ordering.

Can the LED module be replaced when it fails?

The LED is integrated into the aluminium body and is not user-replaceable. The unit carries a 5-year warranty covering LED failure. When the LED reaches end-of-life after the warranty period, the entire fixture requires replacement.

What dimmer type does it need?

The Luxeon requires a trailing-edge (electronic) dimmer rated for LED loads. Check that your dimmer specifies LED compatibility and meets the minimum load requirement for the number of track lights on the circuit. Incompatible dimmers may cause flickering or prevent the light from dimming smoothly.

How adjustable is the light direction?

The light head rotates approximately 350° horizontally within the track mount and tilts roughly 90° vertically, allowing it to be aimed at surfaces perpendicular to the track run or angled along the track direction. The magnetic base allows the entire unit to be slid along the track to new positions.
