Description

The Luxeon is an 8W LED magnetic track spotlight with an integrated 3000K warm white LED module, 1-10V dimming capability, and a cylindrical black aluminium housing. The spotlight clips magnetically onto a compatible track system, allowing it to be repositioned along the track without tools or re-wiring once the track itself is installed.

Designed for retail displays, gallery accent lighting, residential feature walls and kitchen worktop task lighting, the Luxeon pairs directional beam control with the flexibility to adjust light positioning as room layouts or display requirements change. The 1-10V dimming protocol works with compatible low-voltage dimmers to control brightness from 10% to 100%, allowing the spotlight to shift between task and ambient roles depending on time of day. The magnetic connection both powers the fitting and holds it securely to the track, with rotation and tilt adjustments available once clipped in place.

The extruded aluminium body measures 70mm in height with a 40mm projection from the track and a 190mm overall length along the track channel, giving the spotlight a compact profile that sits close to the ceiling or wall depending on track orientation. The black anodised finish reduces glare and reflections under daylight and pairs cleanly with industrial, minimal and contemporary interiors. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only. Ideal Lux covers the integrated LED with a 5-year warranty.

What track system does the Luxeon magnetic spotlight fit?

The Luxeon uses Ideal Lux's proprietary magnetic track system. The spotlight will not fit standard 3-circuit or 2-wire track systems. Contact us before purchasing to confirm track compatibility if you're adding to an existing installation.

How is the 1-10V dimming controlled?

1-10V dimming requires a compatible low-voltage dimmer wired into the track power supply. The dimmer sends a control signal between 1V (10% brightness) and 10V (100% brightness) to the LED driver. Standard mains dimmers will not work with this protocol.

Can the spotlight be repositioned after installation?

Yes. Once the magnetic track is installed and powered, individual spotlights can be clipped on, moved along the track, rotated and tilted without tools. This makes it straightforward to adjust lighting as room layouts or display requirements change.

What's the beam angle and light output?

The 8W LED at 3000K typically delivers between 500-700 lumens with a focused beam angle, making it suitable for accent lighting rather than area illumination. See the technical datasheet in the Downloads tab for exact beam angle and lumen output for this model.
