Description

The Luxeon is a 3W LED magnetic track spotlight with an integrated 3000K warm white LED housed in a black extruded aluminium cylinder. The spotlight clips magnetically onto a compatible track rail (sold separately), allowing it to be repositioned along the track without tools. A 1-10V dimming circuit inside the fitting provides smooth intensity control when paired with a compatible dimmer and driver.

Designed for accent lighting in retail displays, gallery walls, kitchen worktops and home offices, the spotlight directs a focused beam onto surfaces, artwork or architectural details. The magnetic mounting system means multiple spotlights can be added or moved along the track as layouts change, without re-wiring. The 190mm track adaptor length allows the spotlight to sit flush with the ceiling line, while the 40mm cylinder height and 25mm projection keep the fitting visually compact.

The black aluminium finish absorbs ambient light and minimises reflections, making the fitting less visible when not illuminated. The extruded profile acts as a passive heatsink, dissipating the small amount of heat generated by the 3W LED without requiring a fan or vents. The IP20 rating limits use to indoor dry locations — this is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens above hobs, or outdoor installations.

What track system does this fit?

The Luxeon uses a magnetic mounting system compatible with Ideal Lux magnetic track rails. The spotlight will not fit standard 3-circuit track systems or other manufacturers' magnetic rails without an adaptor. Check the track rail specification before ordering.

How is the spotlight dimmed?

The integrated LED requires a 1-10V dimmer and compatible driver. The dimmer sends a low-voltage control signal to the driver, which adjusts the output to the LED. Standard trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmers designed for mains voltage will not work with this fitting.

Can the beam angle be adjusted?

No. The beam angle is fixed by the LED and optic assembly inside the cylinder. The entire spotlight can be rotated on the magnetic mount to redirect the beam, but the spread of light remains constant.

Is it suitable for bathroom use?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is designed for dry indoor locations only. Bathrooms require a minimum IP44 rating for zones 1 and 2, and IP65 for zone 0. Use this spotlight in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, retail spaces and offices where moisture is not present.
