Description

The Luxeon-2 Small End Power Cap is a 26mm white polycarbonate component designed to close the end of a 3-phase track lighting system while providing a power feed connection point. The cap fits onto the open end of Luxeon-2 track rail, concealing the internal conductors and providing the entry point for mains cable to energise the track.

Used in residential, retail and commercial track lighting installations where the track run terminates at a wall or corner and requires a power feed at that point rather than a dead end. The cap clips securely onto the track profile and includes internal terminals for connecting live, neutral and earth conductors to the three-phase bus bars inside the track. The white finish matches standard white-finish track rail and integrates cleanly with light-coloured ceilings.

Made from high-impact polycarbonate, the cap withstands regular handling during installation and occasional knocks without cracking. The 27mm projection from the track face keeps the profile low against the ceiling while providing enough depth to house the electrical connections safely. The cap is compatible only with Luxeon-2 3-phase track systems from Ideal Lux — it will not fit single-circuit track or other manufacturers' profiles.

What is the difference between an end cap and an end power cap?

A standard end cap closes a track run with no electrical connection — it simply covers the open end. An end power cap closes the track and provides terminals for connecting the mains supply, allowing the track to be energised from that end rather than from a central feed or connector.

Is this compatible with single-circuit track?

No. This cap is designed specifically for Luxeon-2 3-phase track systems. Single-circuit track uses a different internal conductor arrangement and requires a different cap profile.

Does it come with fixing screws or connectors?

The cap clips onto the track profile without requiring separate fixings. Mains cable connection to the internal terminals is made using a small flathead screwdriver to secure conductors under the terminal screws inside the cap.
