Description

The Luxeon is a twin LED track spotlight with two cylindrical heads mounted on a 190mm magnetic track bar, each housing integrated 12W LEDs producing 4000K neutral white light. The black extruded aluminium track clips directly onto compatible magnetic track rails without tools, allowing the entire twin-spotlight unit to be repositioned along the track run by hand. Each cylindrical head rotates and tilts independently on its mounting point, directing light where needed.

Designed for commercial and residential track lighting installations in retail spaces, galleries, kitchens and home offices, the Luxeon provides focused accent lighting or task lighting depending on head positioning. The magnetic track system eliminates the need for screwdrivers or clips when reconfiguring layouts — the unit holds itself to the track through magnetic force and electrical contacts transfer power through the same magnetic interface. The 4000K colour temperature suits environments where colour accuracy matters, such as product displays or workspaces.

The black aluminium construction keeps the fitting lightweight at approximately 0.6kg while the extruded profile provides heat dissipation for the integrated LEDs. The cylindrical heads measure approximately 105mm in length and project 40mm from the track bar when angled forward. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations. Ideal Lux backs the integrated LEDs with a 5-year warranty covering driver and diode failure.

Is this compatible with all track lighting systems?

No. The Luxeon requires a compatible magnetic track rail system — it will not fit standard three-circuit or single-circuit track systems. The magnetic track provides both power transfer and mechanical fixing through embedded magnets. Check that your existing track is a magnetic type before ordering.

Can the spotlight heads be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Each cylindrical head rotates and tilts independently on its mounting point, allowing you to direct light onto different surfaces or objects without removing the unit from the track. The entire twin-spotlight unit can also be slid along the magnetic track by hand to reposition it.

Is the 4000K light suitable for home use?

The 4000K neutral white colour temperature produces a cooler, more clinical light than the 2700K-3000K warm white typically preferred in living rooms and bedrooms. It suits kitchens, home offices, utility rooms and garages where task visibility matters more than ambient warmth.

Can the integrated LEDs be replaced?

No. The LEDs are integrated into the spotlight heads and are not user-replaceable. The 5-year Ideal Lux warranty covers LED failure. The integrated design eliminates bulb replacement but means the entire unit must be replaced if the LEDs fail after the warranty period.
