Description

The Luxeon is a 12W LED magnetic track spotlight with an integrated 3000K warm white LED, housed in a cylindrical white extruded aluminium body measuring 190mm long by 40mm diameter. The spotlight clips magnetically onto compatible track rail systems, allowing it to be repositioned along the track length without tools and rotated through 350° horizontally and tilted to direct light where needed.

Designed for retail displays, gallery lighting, hospitality settings and residential spaces needing repositionable accent lighting, the magnetic mounting system makes the Luxeon quicker to install and reconfigure than screw-fixed track heads. The 1-10V dimming protocol allows the spotlight to be controlled by compatible dimmers to adjust output from full 12W down to approximately 10% brightness, making it suitable for spaces where light levels need to change throughout the day or evening.

The white powder-coated aluminium finish keeps the fitting visually light against white or pale ceilings and pairs with modern, minimalist and contemporary interiors where fittings need to recede rather than dominate. The IP20 rating limits use to indoor dry environments. The extruded aluminium construction acts as a heatsink for the integrated LED, maintaining component longevity over the typical 30,000-hour rated lifespan of the LED module.

What track system does this work with?

The Luxeon uses a magnetic mounting system designed for Ideal Lux magnetic track rails. It will not fit standard 3-circuit track systems or other manufacturers' magnetic tracks without compatibility confirmation. Please contact us if you need to confirm track compatibility before ordering.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the spotlight body and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of operation, which translates to around 10 years of typical commercial use at 8 hours per day. The 5-year warranty covers LED failure within that period.

What dimming protocol does it use?

The spotlight uses 1-10V dimming, which requires a compatible 1-10V dimmer and low-voltage control wiring run alongside the mains track power. It will not dim with standard phase-cut dimmers designed for incandescent or LED bulbs on 230V circuits.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the spotlight is designed for dry indoor environments only and offers no protection against moisture ingress. For bathroom use, a fitting with IP44 or higher is required depending on the zone.
