Description

The Lustris is a 3-light LED cluster pendant from Ideal Lux, featuring three transparent acrylic globes with a ground crystal texture, suspended on clear Teflon-coated cables from a 250mm chromed metal canopy. Each globe houses integrated LED lighting totalling 16W across the fitting, emitting warm 3000K light through the textured acrylic which refracts and disperses the output across the room.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallway installations, the three globes hang at different heights to create a layered composition. The 2000mm cable length on each pendant allows adjustment during installation, with the globes typically set 200-400mm apart vertically to suit the ceiling height and the surface below. The chromed canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the clear cables become almost invisible against white or light-coloured ceilings, keeping visual focus on the lit globes.

The ground crystal texture on each acrylic diffuser breaks up the LED light source inside, preventing harsh glare while creating scattered light patterns on nearby walls and ceilings when the fitting is switched on. The IP20 rating restricts the Lustris to dry indoor locations only — it is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor use, or any damp environment. The integrated LEDs are non-replaceable but carry a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

No. The integrated LEDs operate at full output on standard mains switching and are not compatible with dimmer switches or smart dimming systems.

Can the cables be shortened?

Yes. The 2000mm cables can be adjusted during installation to suit the ceiling height and the desired drop above a dining table or kitchen island. Excess cable is typically coiled inside the canopy.

What happens when the LEDs fail?
