Description

The Luna is a 130mm frosted glass globe pendant designed for magnetic track lighting systems, with an integrated 5W LED running at 3000K on DC 48V. The pendant clips magnetically onto compatible track rails, allowing it to be repositioned along the track without tools or re-wiring. The frosted glass diffuses the LED output into a soft ambient glow.

Designed for residential and hospitality installations where track lighting is already in place or planned, the Luna suits dining areas, kitchen islands, bedroom reading zones and lounge seating where multiple pendants can be spaced along a single track run. The magnetic connection eliminates the need for fixed ceiling roses — each pendant can be moved, added or removed as room layout changes. The DC 48V system separates low-voltage track from mains, with the transformer housed remotely.

The white finish on the metal canopy and cable suspension matches the majority of magnetic track systems on the UK market. The 130mm globe gives enough visual presence to read as decorative rather than purely functional, while remaining compact enough to cluster several pendants along a 2-3m track without visual crowding. The frosted glass hides the LED source inside and prevents glare when viewed from below.

What track system does the Luna work with?

The Luna is part of Maytoni's Exility magnetic track range and clips onto compatible DC 48V magnetic track rails. Check compatibility with your existing track system before ordering — the pendant will not work with standard 230V mains track lighting or other manufacturers' magnetic systems without adapter compatibility.

Can the pendant be moved once installed?

Yes. The magnetic connection allows the pendant to be repositioned along the track rail without tools. Simply unclip, move to the new position and re-attach. This makes it easy to adjust spacing or rearrange lighting layout as furniture changes.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated into the pendant and is not user-replaceable. The 5W LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use, which equates to around 10-15 years of typical residential use before output degrades.

What's the IP rating and where can it be used?

The Luna carries an IP20 rating, meaning it is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor use.
