Description
The Lumorin is a 300mm sculpted alabaster table lamp carved from natural Spanish alabaster, with a stepped cylindrical body rising from a tiered circular base. The 200mm-diameter form is finished in a soft white tone and houses a single E14 lamp socket concealed within the stone, so the alabaster itself acts as the diffuser when lit.
Suited to bedside tables, console tables, sideboards and shelving in living rooms, hallways and bedrooms, the Lumorin works as a compact accent light rather than a primary room source. The stepped silhouette reads as Art Deco in influence and pairs with both period interiors and contemporary minimalist schemes. At 300mm tall it sits comfortably alongside framed pictures, books and small objects without dominating a surface.
Each piece is cut and shaped from a single block of alabaster, so the veining, density variations and tonal shifts differ between individual lamps. When the bulb is switched off the lamp reads as a pale carved stone object; when lit, the warm internal glow reveals the natural translucency of the alabaster and the geological structure running through the stone. The tiered top and base are finished with smooth transitions between each step, giving the form a resolved, single-object character.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Lumorin take?
The lamp uses a single E14 (Small Edison Screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K is recommended, as it preserves the warm glow through the stone without generating excess heat against the alabaster.
Does each lamp look the same?
No. Each Lumorin is carved from a single block of natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining patterns, tonal variation and translucency will differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect.
Where does it work best in a room?
The 300mm height and 200mm diameter suit bedside tables, console tables, sideboards and shelving. It functions as an accent or ambient light rather than a primary source, and pairs well in matched pairs either side of a bed or sofa.
How should the alabaster be cleaned?
Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Alabaster is porous and softer than marble, so avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but do not soak the stone.
