Description
The Luminor is a 76W LED floor lamp built around a single vertical column of powder-coated black aluminium, topped with a rectangular opal polycarbonate diffuser that emits light both upwards and downwards. The integrated LED produces 3000K warm white light, controlled via a switch on the column that includes a dimmer function and an automatic brightness sensor that adjusts output based on ambient light levels.
Designed for offices, reading corners and side-of-desk positions where task and ambient light are both needed, the Luminor provides direct downward illumination onto work surfaces while the upward component adds ceiling wash to reduce contrast in the room. The rectangular diffuser measures 340mm x 720mm and sits approximately 1850mm above floor level on the column. A USB socket integrated into the column allows phone or tablet charging without occupying a mains socket.
The anti-glare polycarbonate diffuser softens the LED output to reduce eye strain during extended reading or screen work. The powder-coated aluminium finish is durable enough for commercial environments and the IP20 rating suits dry indoor use in homes, offices, hotel rooms and libraries. The 2.9m PVC cable with a standard UK plug allows flexible placement without requiring an extension lead in most rooms.
The brightness sensor can be overridden manually via the dimmer control, allowing the lamp to be set to a fixed output level when automatic adjustment is not wanted. The upward and downward light emission ratio is fixed and cannot be adjusted independently, so the lamp always provides both ceiling wash and task light simultaneously.

Frequently Asked
How does the brightness sensor work?
The brightness sensor detects ambient light levels in the room and automatically adjusts the LED output to maintain consistent overall brightness. In a dark room the lamp increases output; in bright daylight it reduces output to avoid over-lighting. The sensor can be overridden using the manual dimmer control on the column.
Can the upward and downward light be controlled separately?
No. The Luminor emits light both upwards and downwards simultaneously, and the ratio between the two is fixed. The dimmer control adjusts total output but does not allow independent control of the upward ceiling wash and the downward task light.
What is the USB socket output?
The integrated USB socket allows charging of phones, tablets and other USB-powered devices. Exact output voltage and amperage are not specified in the product data, but typical floor lamps of this type provide 5V at 1-2A, suitable for standard smartphone charging.
Is the LED replaceable?
The LED is integrated into the lamp assembly and is not user-replaceable. Ideal Lux covers the LED under a 5-year warranty, and the LED is rated for tens of thousands of hours of use before output degrades noticeably.
