Description

The Luminis is an outdoor wall light built around a cylindrical Pyrex glass diffuser with horizontal aluminium louvres, housed in a die-cast aluminium body finished in matt black. The light accepts a single E27 bulb (sold separately) and projects 250mm from the wall on a rectangular mounting bracket. The louvre structure inside the glass directs light downwards and outwards while reducing direct glare from the bulb.

Designed for external use on UK homes, the Luminis carries an IP44 rating, meaning it resists water splashes from any direction and excludes solid objects above 1mm. This makes it suitable for covered porches, garden walls, garage sides and pathways where the fitting is exposed to rain but not direct hosing or immersion. The die-cast aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and wet climates, and the matt black finish hides water marks and dust better than polished metalwork.

The 110mm height and cylindrical form give the Luminis a compact profile that works on narrow walls between doors and windows or flanking garage entrances without dominating the facade. The Pyrex glass diffuser withstands temperature cycling from cold nights to direct sun without cracking, and the horizontal louvres cast striped shadow patterns on adjacent walls when lit. The E27 fitting accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs, giving control over light colour and brightness to suit the setting.
