Description

The Lumara is a 1240mm horizontal LED bar wall light with an integrated 20W 3000K LED housed behind an opal acrylic diffuser. The white powder-coated aluminium body sits flush to the wall with a 70mm projection, and the opal diffuser spreads light evenly along the length of the bar without harsh spotting or glare.

Designed for interior corridors, stairwells, above bathroom mirrors and along feature walls, the Lumara provides indirect ambient light rather than focused task illumination. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white output that suits residential and hospitality interiors. At 1240mm long and just 15mm high, the fitting works in spaces where vertical clearance is limited or where a low-profile horizontal accent is needed.

The powder-coated aluminium construction resists scratching and tarnishing in typical indoor environments. The opal acrylic diffuser is impact-resistant and softens the LED source behind it, turning the entire bar into a glowing element rather than a point source. The IP20 rating confirms the fitting is suitable for dry indoor locations only — bathrooms must be outside splash zones unless additional protection is specified.

Is the Lumara suitable for bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor locations only. In bathrooms it must be positioned outside splash zones — typically more than 600mm from a shower head, bath edge or basin tap. For zones 1, 2 or 3 a higher IP-rated fitting is required.

Can the integrated LED be replaced?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED module is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use, which equates to around 10-15 years of typical domestic operation. If the LED fails within the 5-year warranty period, Ideal Lux will replace the fitting.

Is the light dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The fitting operates at full brightness when switched on.

What wall fixings are included?

The Lumara includes the mounting bracket and fixings for standard plasterboard or masonry walls. For installation on hollow walls or specific substrates, consult the fitting instructions or use fixings appropriate to your wall type.
