Description

The Lucida is a 5 light semi-flush ceiling light built around a central matt gold hub, from which five adjustable arms extend in different directions. Each arm carries a white blown glass globe housing a G9 bulb (sold separately). The arms can be positioned during installation to direct light across different zones of the room, giving the fitting a degree of task-and-ambient flexibility uncommon in semi-flush designs.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.7m, the Lucida's semi-flush mounting keeps the fitting close to the ceiling while the adjustable arms project light outward and downward rather than concentrating it in a single cone. The 800mm projection and 620mm length mean the fitting occupies a reasonable footprint over a dining table, in a lounge, or in a bedroom where central ambient light is needed without the drop of a pendant. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor spaces.

The white blown glass globes diffuse the light from the five G9 bulbs evenly, softening shadows and reducing glare. The matt gold finish on the metalwork provides a warm accent without the high reflectivity of polished brass, making the fitting pair comfortably with both neutral and warm-toned interiors. Can the arms be adjusted after installation?

The arms are adjustable at the point they join the central hub, allowing the direction of each globe to be set during or after installation. Once positioned and tightened, they remain in place unless deliberately readjusted.
