Description
The Lucida is a 3-light semi-flush ceiling light built on three adjustable arms radiating from a central ceiling mount, each arm finished in a matte gold painted metal and terminating in a white blown glass globe. Each globe houses a G9 bulb (sold separately), and the arms can be repositioned on their joints to direct light coverage across different zones of a room.
Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.7m where a full pendant drop would hang too low, the Lucida projects 600mm from the ceiling while the 500mm arm span provides balanced light distribution across a 3-4m² area. The semi-flush mounting sits the central ceiling plate within 100mm of the ceiling surface, making it suitable for hallways, landings, smaller living rooms, and kitchens where headroom matters. The adjustable arms allow light to be focused towards a seating area, spread evenly for general illumination, or directed up towards the ceiling for indirect ambient wash.
The white blown glass diffuses light evenly through the sphere without hard shadows or glare points, while the matte gold finish on the metal frame provides warmth without excessive shine. The combination of white and gold reads as classical in traditional settings and mid-century in contemporary interiors. The IP20 rating limits the Lucida to dry indoor locations — living rooms, bedrooms, hallways — and excludes bathrooms. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 LED bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take and are they included?
The Lucida takes 3 x G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm white light. Check that any G9 LED you choose is dimmable if you plan to use a dimmer switch.
Is it suitable for low ceilings?
Yes. The semi-flush design projects 600mm from the ceiling, making it appropriate for standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In a room with 2.4m ceilings, the lowest point of the globes sits approximately 1.8m from the floor, providing adequate clearance in most spaces.
Can the arms be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The arms rotate on their joints, allowing you to reposition the direction of each globe after the fitting is mounted. This lets you focus light towards a seating area, spread it evenly, or direct it upwards for ambient wash lighting.
What rooms is it suitable for?
The IP20 rating limits the Lucida to dry indoor locations such as living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, landings and kitchens. It cannot be used in bathrooms or other damp environments.
