Description
The Lucella is a 220mm round LED flush ceiling light with an integrated 20W 3000K LED behind a white opaque plastic diffuser. The light can be surface-mounted directly onto plasterboard or concrete ceilings, or recessed into a cut-out where the ceiling void allows. The plastic body and diffuser spread the LED output evenly across the face of the fitting, minimising glare and hotspots.
Designed for bedrooms, hallways, landings, home offices and living rooms with standard ceiling heights, the Lucella provides general ambient lighting across spaces up to 12-15m². The 3000K colour temperature gives a warm white output that sits between the cooler daylight tones of 4000K+ and the softer amber tones of 2700K. The 20W LED delivers approximately 1,800-2,000 lumens depending on the specific LED module fitted by Ideal Lux, which is enough to light a typical 3m x 4m bedroom without additional fittings.
The white finish allows the Lucella to blend into white or light-coloured ceilings without drawing attention to the fitting itself. The low-profile design projects approximately 40-50mm from the ceiling when surface-mounted, making it suitable for rooms where a pendant or semi-flush would hang too low. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor use. Ideal Lux backs the fitting with a 5-year warranty covering the LED module and driver.

Frequently Asked
Can this be installed in a bathroom?
No. The Lucella carries an IP20 rating, which means it is not protected against moisture ingress. It must only be installed in dry indoor locations away from direct water exposure. For bathrooms, look for fittings rated IP44 or higher.
Is the LED replaceable?
The LED module is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable in the way a traditional bulb would be. The LED is designed to last the lifetime of the fitting and is covered by the 5-year Ideal Lux warranty.
What's the difference between surface and recessed installation?
Surface mounting fixes the fitting directly onto the ceiling surface with screws, so the full body of the light projects down from the ceiling. Recessed installation requires a cut-out in the ceiling and a void above, allowing the body to sit flush with the ceiling plane. Both options use the same fitting.
What size room does this suit?
The 20W LED output is suitable for rooms up to approximately 12-15m² as a primary light source. For larger rooms or where brighter task lighting is needed, consider pairing the Lucella with additional fittings or supplementary task lights.
