Description

The Lucella is a 220mm diameter round LED flush ceiling light with an integrated 20W 3000K LED behind a white acrylic diffuser, set within a matt black plastic frame. The fitting can be surface-mounted directly to a ceiling or recessed into a compatible cut-out, depending on the ceiling construction and the desired profile.

Designed for hallways, bathrooms (dry zones only — IP20 rated), bedrooms and kitchens where a low-profile general light is needed, the Lucella provides even ambient illumination across a room of approximately 8-12 square metres. The 3000K colour temperature gives a warm white light that sits between soft yellow and neutral white, reducing blue tones in evening use. The black frame provides contrast against white ceilings and blends with dark-painted ceilings or timber-lined surfaces.

The acrylic diffuser distributes the LED output evenly across the disc, minimising hot spots and giving a consistent light field from edge to edge. The plastic construction keeps the fitting lightweight at under 1kg, simplifying installation on plasterboard ceilings without additional support. The non-dimmable driver is built into the fitting, requiring only mains connection — no separate transformer or external driver box is needed.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

The Lucella carries an IP20 rating, which means it is suitable for dry indoor environments only. In a bathroom it can be installed in Zone 3 (areas more than 600mm from a bath or shower) but not in Zones 0, 1 or 2 where water contact is possible.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. Connecting it to a dimmer switch may cause flickering or damage the driver.

Can it be recessed or only surface-mounted?

The Lucella can be installed either way. For recessed installation you will need a ceiling void depth of at least 50mm and a 200mm cut-out diameter. For surface mounting the fitting sits directly on the ceiling surface with a projection of approximately 40mm.

What size room does the 20W output suit?

The 20W integrated LED provides general ambient light for rooms of approximately 8-12 square metres. For larger spaces or task-heavy areas, multiple Lucella fittings or supplementary lighting may be needed.
