Description
The Lucella is a 220mm round LED ceiling light with an integrated 20W LED outputting 4000K neutral white light through an opaque white plastic diffuser. The fitting can be surface-mounted directly onto plasterboard ceilings or recessed into a circular aperture cut to match the 220mm diameter, offering flexibility depending on the ceiling construction and the projection clearance available above.
Designed for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, utility rooms and commercial spaces where consistent neutral-white illumination is needed, the 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white and daylight, providing clear visibility for task work without the blue-heavy tone of 5000K+ LEDs. The opaque plastic diffuser spreads the light evenly across the room rather than creating a concentrated beam, making the Lucella more suitable for general ambient lighting than spotlight-style accent work.
The white plastic body and diffuser keep the fitting lightweight at under 500g and simplify installation in both surface and recessed configurations. When surface-mounted, the fitting projects approximately 35mm from the ceiling plane; when recessed, only the diffuser face sits flush with the ceiling line. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations — not suitable for bathroom zones 1 or 2, or outdoor canopies.
The integrated LED is non-replaceable and rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use at typical residential duty cycles, equivalent to 10-15 years before noticeable degradation. The fitting is non-dimmable and operates on standard 230V mains via a fixed driver built into the back box.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used in a bathroom?
The IP20 rating means the Lucella is only suitable for dry indoor locations. It cannot be installed in bathroom zones 1 or 2 (within 60cm of a bath or shower enclosure). Zone 3 (beyond 60cm) is acceptable if the room has adequate ventilation to prevent moisture build-up.
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use, equivalent to 10-15 years at typical residential usage before noticeable light degradation.
What's the difference between surface and recessed installation?
Surface mounting fixes the entire fitting onto the ceiling surface, projecting approximately 35mm below the ceiling plane. Recessed installation requires a circular aperture cut into the ceiling to the 220mm diameter, with the fitting body sitting above the ceiling line and only the diffuser face flush with the ceiling.
What colour temperature is 4000K?
4000K is neutral white, sitting between warm white (2700K-3000K) and cool daylight (5000K+). It provides clear, task-friendly illumination without the yellow tone of warm white or the blue-heavy tone of daylight LEDs.
