Description

The Lua is a single-arm wall light with an integrated switch, a curved satin nickel backplate and arm, and a white fabric drum shade. The arm sweeps upward from a circular backplate in a flowing loop that holds the shade approximately 370mm above the mounting point. An inline rocker switch on the backplate allows the light to be turned on and off without reaching for a pull cord or wall switch.

Designed for bedside positions, hallways, living rooms and hotel guest rooms where local switching is needed, the Lua projects 190mm from the wall and sits comfortably beside a headboard or above a sofa arm. The integrated switch removes the need for two-way switching circuits or pull cords, making the fitting particularly suited to retrofit installations where re-wiring would be disruptive. The 160mm shade width provides enough light spread for reading or ambient room lighting without dominating narrow hallways or small bedrooms.

The satin nickel finish on the metal arm and backplate gives a brushed, low-reflectance surface that pairs with both warm and cool interior palettes. The white fabric shade diffuses light from a single E27 bulb (sold separately), softening shadows and preventing glare when positioned at eye level beside a bed. What bulb does the Lua take?

The fitting takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to the wattage specified. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside reading.

Is the Lua dimmable?

Yes, if paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit feeding the wall light. The inline rocker switch on the backplate itself is not a dimmer. It's an on/off switch only.

How does the integrated switch work?

A small rocker switch is built into the circular backplate. Press the rocker to turn the light on or off without needing to reach for a wall switch or pull cord. The circuit feeding the wall light must still be permanently live for the inline switch to function.

What height should the Lua be mounted at?

For bedside use, mount the backplate approximately 1.2-1.4m from the floor, which places the shade at a comfortable height for reading in bed. For hallway or living room use, standard wall light mounting height is 1.5-1.8m from the floor.
