Louise 1 Light Crystal Wall Light - Polished Chrome with White Shade

The Louise is a single-light wall light with a polished chrome frame that curves upward to support a white organza shade, topped with crystal pendalogues and a faceted crystal drop suspended from the centre. The E27 bulb (sold separately) sits behind the shade, diffusing light through the organza fabric while the crystal elements catch and reflect that light across the surrounding wall.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, living rooms and dining areas where accent lighting is needed at mid-wall height, the Louise works well installed individually beside mirrors, artwork or doorways, or in pairs flanking a headboard or console table. The 190mm projection from the wall keeps the shade clear of most furniture while the 375mm height provides enough vertical presence to balance against taller doors and mirrors. The polished chrome finish pairs cleanly with both contemporary and classical interiors.

The white organza shade softens direct glare from the bulb, making the Louise suitable for positions at eye level where unshaded bulbs would cause discomfort. The crystal pendalogues sit just above the shade rim, adding decorative detail without blocking the light path. The faceted drop below the shade creates small points of reflected light on ceilings and adjacent walls when the fitting is switched on. At 1kg, the wall light needs to be fixed to solid masonry or a stud-backed section of plasterboard using appropriate wall plugs.

What bulb does the Louise take?

The Louise uses a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting. The organza shade diffuses the light, so higher-wattage bulbs are not usually needed.

Is the Louise dimmable?

Yes, provided you use a dimmable bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. LED bulbs require LED-compatible dimmers to avoid flickering or early bulb failure.

Can it be installed on plasterboard walls?

At 1kg, the Louise needs solid fixing. On plasterboard, use cavity wall fixings rated for at least 2kg, or locate a stud behind the plasterboard and fix directly into that. On masonry, use standard wall plugs appropriate for the wall material.

How is the organza shade cleaned?

The organza shade can be dusted with a soft brush or wiped gently with a barely-damp microfibre cloth. Avoid soaking the fabric or using chemical sprays. The crystal elements can be cleaned with a dry microfibre cloth or, for stubborn marks, a cloth lightly dampened with distilled water.
