Description

The Lineal is a 1515mm linear suspension light with an integrated 54W LED strip running the full length of a narrow brushed gold aluminium extrusion. The LED delivers 6400 lumens at 3000K warm white through a frosted diffuser on the underside of the profile, creating an even line of light without visible hotspots or individual LED dots.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and reception desks between 1.5m and 2m in length, the Lineal provides functional task lighting with a minimal visual footprint. The suspension cables adjust from 90mm to 1590mm, allowing the light to be set 700-900mm above a worktop or table depending on ceiling height. The 30mm width of the profile keeps the fixture unobtrusive when viewed head-on, while the brushed gold finish adds warmth without dominating the space.

The aluminium extrusion dissipates heat across its length, keeping the LED strip at a stable operating temperature and extending the functional life of the light source. The brushed gold finish is applied as a durable powder coat over the aluminium, maintaining its appearance under daily use. At 2kg total weight the fixture mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose with the supplied ceiling plate and cables.

The Lineal is not dimmable and runs on mains 220-240V without an external driver. The warm white 3000K output pairs with interiors using oak, walnut, warm greys and natural textiles, while the brushed gold finish complements brass, copper and warm metallic accents in taps, handles and cabinet hardware.

The 1515mm light works over tables or islands between 1.5m and 2m in length. For longer surfaces Mantra produces the Lineal in 2m and 2.5m lengths, both available separately at Niori.

How high should it hang above a worktop or table?

Standard installation positions the light 700-900mm above the surface. For a kitchen island this typically means 700-750mm to avoid head clearance issues, while over a dining table 800-900mm gives comfortable ambient and task light without glare.

Can the suspension cables be shortened?

Yes. The cables adjust from 90mm minimum to 1590mm maximum drop. Excess cable is concealed inside the ceiling plate during installation, allowing the drop to be set to the exact height needed for the room.
