Description

The Ledbury is a traditional pedestal lantern standing 475mm high with a black cast aluminium frame, clear glass panels and a decorative rope-pattern cornice band. The lantern head sits on a stepped hexagonal pedestal base and houses a single E27 bulb fitting behind glass on four sides. An ornamental finial caps the domed top.

Designed for mounting on gate posts, wall pillars, driveway entrances and garden boundaries, the Ledbury provides ambient lighting at pedestrian height while maintaining a traditional aesthetic. The IP44 rating protects the fitting against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for exposed outdoor positions. The cast aluminium construction resists corrosion in UK coastal and urban environments better than pressed steel alternatives.

The black powder-coated finish gives a low-reflective surface that blends into dark evenings and pairs with black railings, gates and period ironwork. The clear glass panels allow full light output from the bulb, with the option to use a warm-white LED filament bulb to create the appearance of traditional gaslight. The fitting connects to mains wiring via a base entry point concealed by the pedestal, allowing cable to run internally through the post or pillar it mounts on.
