The Larkin is a 203mm square lantern pendant with an arched cage frame in olde bronze, housing two E14 candle bulb holders on a central cluster. The open metalwork frame uses vertical bars and a domed top with four arch supports, giving the fitting a traditional hall lantern silhouette scaled for smaller spaces. The olde bronze finish is a mid-tone aged metal with subtle brown undertones, darker than antique brass but lighter than oil-rubbed bronze.

Designed for entrance halls, kitchen islands, and over dining tables where ceiling height allows for a 432mm minimum drop, the Larkin provides ambient light through the open cage rather than focused task light. The 1829mm chain length adjusts on installation to suit ceiling heights from 2.5m to 3.5m, with the pendant typically hung 700-900mm above a table surface or 2000-2200mm above finished floor level in a hallway. The cage allows light to cast outward in all directions while the metal frame projects shadow patterns onto nearby walls and ceilings.

The metal frame uses a square footprint at top and base with arched supports between, giving the fitting architectural presence without the bulk of a fully enclosed lantern. The olde bronze finish pairs with warm-toned woods, terracotta tiles, and cream or off-white walls common in traditional and country interiors. Each E14 holder accepts bulbs up to 60W, giving flexibility to use LED filament candles at 4-6W for decorative ambiance or higher-output frosted LEDs for functional light.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 432mm minimum drop means the pendant sits 432mm below the ceiling at its shortest. For a hallway installation this typically needs a ceiling height of 2.5m or above. Is the chain length adjustable?

Yes. The 1829mm chain is adjusted during installation by removing excess links before the pendant is wired. Once installed the length is fixed unless the pendant is taken down and re-fitted.

Olde bronze is a mid-tone aged metal finish with brown undertones, darker than antique brass but lighter than oil-rubbed bronze. The finish is applied to replicate the patina of aged bronze metalwork and pairs with warm traditional and country interiors.
