Description

The Langton is a three-light pendant built around a ribbed two-part glass globe held by a shaped brass band. The ribbing runs around the clear glass, catching the light and softening it as it passes through, while the two-part globe gives the fitting a rounded, considered outline. The globe is 415mm across and the pendant takes three E14 lamps. It hangs from a height-adjustable chain set with a grey braided fabric flex for a neat finish.

This mid-size pendant suits living rooms, bedrooms, stairwells and dining areas, where the ribbed globe gives a warm, ambient glow. The rounded glass shape reads as a soft focal point rather than a hard fitting, and the vintage brass band ties it to other warm metals in the room. It blends classic detailing with a cleaner, more modern globe, so it settles into a wide range of schemes. Hung over a coffee table or in a bay window, the ribbed globe softens the light while staying in proportion.

The metalwork carries a vintage brass finish and the globe is high quality clear ribbed glass in two parts. The grey fabric cable finishes the drop, which adjusts from 420mm to 1540mm on a 1.2 metre flex. It is a Class 1 fitting, so it needs an earth and is best installed by a qualified electrician, and the IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor rooms away from bathrooms. It is dimmable with a compatible trailing edge dimmer, and it looks its best with E14 LED filament lamps behind the ribbed glass. Wipe the glass and brass with a dry, soft cloth.
