Description

The Kichler Lacey is a single-light wall bracket built around a double-shade design: an outer cylinder of organza fabric stretched over an inner opal glass diffuser, both mounted on a mission bronze metal frame. The curved arm extends 179mm from the wall, holding the shade 273mm high. The E14 bulb inside (sold separately, max 40W) lights the inner opal glass, which then filters through the semi-transparent organza, creating a layered diffusion effect.

Designed for hallways, landings, bathroom side-of-mirror positions and bedroom reading areas, the Lacey provides directed ambient light without glare. The 127mm shade diameter suits walls with 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights where a compact fitting is needed. The mission bronze finish — a dark, lightly textured brown-bronze — pairs with warm-toned interiors, exposed wood, and traditional or transitional schemes. The circular backplate is 110mm diameter and fixes to a standard UK mounting plate.

The organza outer fabric creates a soft edge to the light pattern, preventing harsh cut-offs on adjacent walls. The inner opal glass protects the bulb and acts as the primary diffuser, so the organza layer doesn't need to carry the full heat load. Both shades are replaceable if damaged. The mission bronze metalwork has a low-sheen finish that sits comfortably in rooms where polished metals would reflect too much light or clash with matte finishes elsewhere in the space.

What bulb does the Lacey take?

The fitting takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K for a soft ambient glow.

Is the double-shade design dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen. LED E14 bulbs marked as dimmable will work with most modern trailing-edge dimmers. The fabric and glass shades themselves have no electrical components and do not affect dimming.

Can the organza shade be cleaned?

The organza fabric attracts dust over time. Remove the shade assembly (unscrew the retaining ring at the base) and use a soft brush or low-power vacuum attachment to remove surface dust. Do not wash or soak the fabric — water may stain or shrink the organza.

What's the projection from the wall?

The fitting projects 179mm from the wall surface to the front edge of the shade. Allow at least 200mm clearance in front of the fitting to avoid contact when passing by in narrow hallways.
