Description
The Kromo is a 2-light wall light built around two faceted optical glass blocks set on curved antique brass arms, with an integrated switch mounted on the brass backplate. Each glass block is cut with multiple angled facets that refract light into patterns across adjacent walls and ceilings, turning the fitting itself into both light source and decorative feature. The two G9 bulb sockets sit behind the glass, casting light through the facets rather than directly into the room.
Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and hallways where accent lighting is needed without ceiling fittings, the Kromo mounts 480mm wide across the wall with a 170mm projection from the surface. The integrated switch allows the light to be controlled without returning to a wall switch, making it practical next to beds, armchairs or sofa ends where a reading light or ambient wash is needed. The antique brass finish shows brushed surface texture with darker patina in the recesses, pairing well with warm-toned interiors, traditional schemes and period properties.
The optical glass blocks are solid rather than hollow, giving the fitting a 2.4kg weight that requires secure wall fixings into masonry or studwork. The faceted cuts scatter light across a wider area than a standard shade, so even low-wattage G9 LEDs produce noticeable ambient fill. The brass arms curve outward from the central backplate, balancing the visual weight of the two glass blocks symmetrically. The antique finish is applied over solid brass rather than plated steel, so the tone remains consistent over time.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Kromo take?
The fitting takes two G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 2-4W warm-white LEDs (2700K-3000K) for ambient lighting or 5-6W for task lighting next to a reading position.
Is the Kromo dimmable?
Yes, provided you use dimmable G9 bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The integrated switch on the backplate is an on/off rocker — dimming is controlled at the wall switch.
What wall fixings are needed?
The 2.4kg weight requires secure fixings into masonry (wall plugs and screws) or timber studwork (wood screws). Plasterboard-only fixings are not suitable without a stud or batten behind.
How is the optical glass cleaned?
Wipe the faceted glass blocks with a dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works well. Avoid sprays or polishes that may leave streaks in the facets.
