Description

At just 11cm in diameter, our Komorebi Circle Lampshade Mini is the smallest size in this range, and its compact footprint makes it easy to slot into a spot where a fuller shade would feel too much. It stands 26cm tall, so you get some height to play with despite the narrow width, and at 0.3kg it is light enough to sit comfortably on a modest table lamp base or hang as a pendant without pulling on a fitting. It suits corners, shelves and bedside tables where space is tight but you still want a bit of warmth from the light.

The shade is built from parallel vertical wooden dowels arranged in a circle, made from solid oak with a polyester lining. It is an open, slatted form rather than a solid drum, so the light filters down between the dowels and casts soft vertical lines across the surfaces nearby. The name Komorebi refers to the way daylight breaks through leaves, and we chose it because this shade does something similar with a bulb. Here the oak carries a natural, warm tone, keeping the grain visible and the whole thing feeling grounded rather than heavy.

It works as both a pendant and a table lampshade, so you can use it however suits your room, and it takes an E27 fitting with a maximum 15W LED, which is not included. We would pair it with a warm bulb around 2700K to make the most of the timber and the shadows it throws. Assembly takes around 5min, so you can have it up and lit the same day it arrives. If you want more presence, we also offer this design in two larger sizes across the range.
