Description
The Knightsbridge Tenax 10-20W CCT Emergency LED Gear Tray is a replacement lighting module for Tenax One and Tenax Quad bulkhead casings, combining adjustable wattage, selectable colour temperature, emergency battery backup and an integral daylight sensor on a single 233mm square aluminium board. The gear tray mounts inside the bulkhead casing via four butterfly clips and connects through a push-fit terminal block with loop-in-loop-out capability.
Designed for external installations where mains-powered lighting needs automatic dusk-to-dawn operation and emergency failover, the tray delivers three wattage options (10W, 15W, 20W) and three colour temperatures (3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white, 5700K cool white) via DIP switches on the board. The emergency mode provides maintained or non-maintained operation with 125 lumens output during mains failure, powered by the integral battery pack.
The daylight sensor activates the tray automatically at dusk and deactivates at dawn, making it suitable for building entrances, external staircases, car parks and other exterior locations requiring hands-free operation. The SMD LED array delivers up to 2,630 lumens at 20W 4000K with a CRI above 85 and an L70B50 rated life of 40,000 hours. The IP20 rating suits dry internal environments and protected external locations where the casing provides weather sealing.
The gear tray is supplied without a casing. Tenax One and Tenax Quad casings are available separately and must be specified according to the installation environment and IP rating required. The constant-current driver operates on 230V 50Hz mains and the unit carries Class II insulation and a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
What casing does this gear tray fit?
The tray is compatible with Knightsbridge Tenax One and Tenax Quad bulkhead casings. The casing is not included and must be purchased separately. Choose a casing with the appropriate IP rating for the installation environment.
How do I change the wattage and colour temperature?
Wattage and CCT are adjusted via DIP switches on the gear tray before installation. Set the switches to 10W, 15W or 20W, and to 3000K, 4000K or 5700K. The switches are accessible before the tray is fitted into the casing.
What is the difference between maintained and non-maintained emergency modes?
Maintained mode keeps the light on continuously and switches to battery power during mains failure. Non-maintained mode keeps the light off during normal operation and activates on battery only when mains power is lost. This gear tray supports both modes.
Can the daylight sensor be disabled?
The daylight sensor is integral to this model and activates the tray automatically at dusk. If manual control or permanent-on operation is required, consider a different Tenax gear tray variant without the sensor function.
