Description

The Khalifa is a 12.8cm single pendant light with a teardrop-shaped copper-plated metal body and a cut crystal rim around the lower aperture. Designed by Santiago Sevillano for Mantra, the pendant houses a single GU10 bulb (sold separately) behind the crystal detail, which refracts the light as it exits downward.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, bar counters and entrance halls, the Khalifa works as individual accent lighting or clustered in groups of two or three at different drop heights. The 1500mm maximum drop is adjustable on installation via the suspension cable, allowing the pendant to sit 600-900mm above a worktop or 700-800mm above a dining table depending on ceiling height. The copper finish provides warm metallic tones that pair with both traditional and contemporary interiors.

The crystal rim is hand-cut with a diamond facet pattern, creating prism effects when the GU10 bulb is lit. The copper plating covers the entire metal body, giving a consistent finish under both daylight and artificial light. At 0.94kg the pendant has enough weight to hang stably on the cable without excessive movement from air currents. The GU10 fitting accepts any standard GU10 LED or halogen bulb, allowing control over colour temperature and brightness to suit the room.
