Description

The Kendal is a wall-mounted outdoor lantern with a tapered rectangular frame in old bronze finish, housing two E14 candle bulb fittings behind clear seeded glass panels. The lantern measures approximately 380mm high by 210mm wide, with a hinged door on the front panel that opens to allow bulb replacement without removing the entire fitting from the wall.

Designed for porches, front door surrounds and garden walls, the Kendal carries an IP44 rating for protection against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for covered and semi-exposed positions around UK homes. The old bronze finish is a darkened, antiqued metal with subtle texture that shows minimal weathering over time. The seeded glass has a textured surface that softens the light output and reduces glare from the bare bulb filaments.

The two E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit vertically inside the lantern body, visible through all four glass panels. The hinged door latches closed with a simple hook mechanism and can be opened by hand when the bulbs need replacing, removing the need for tools or scaffold access for routine maintenance. The backplate fixes to standard exterior junction boxes and includes gasket sealing to prevent water ingress behind the fitting.
