The Kami is a 421mm diameter Tiffany flush ceiling light built around a handcrafted art glass shade in amber, caramel, ginger and emerald tones arranged in a floral-inspired pattern. Two E27 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the glass, with light filtered through hundreds of individual glass pieces soldered together in the traditional Tiffany method. The vintage bronze ceiling mount sits flush to the ceiling with a 151mm total drop from ceiling to shade base.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.6m where a pendant would hang too low, the Kami suits hallways, bedrooms, box rooms and landings where decorative lighting is needed without projection into the space. The 421mm diameter covers a similar footprint to a standard pendant shade but sits tight to the ceiling, giving clearance for doors, wardrobes and circulation. The warm glass tones cast amber and green highlights onto surrounding walls when lit, particularly noticeable in evening use.

Each shade uses genuine art glass cut and shaped by hand, so the exact placement of amber, caramel and emerald sections varies between individual fittings. The glass pieces are held within a framework of copper-foil came (the black lines visible between glass sections), which is then patinated to match the vintage bronze finish on the ceiling mount. The bronze has a dark, oil-rubbed appearance rather than a bright metallic sheen, pairing well with heritage interiors and traditional joinery finishes.

The two-bulb configuration provides enough light output for general illumination in a 10-12m² room when paired with 8-10W LED E27 bulbs at 2700K. Warm-white or extra-warm-white bulbs complement the amber glass tones, while cool-white LEDs create a jarring contrast with the warm glass palette and are not recommended.

What bulbs does it take?

The Kami takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 8-10W at 2700K-3000K to complement the amber and caramel glass tones.
