Description

The Jupiter is a grey die-cast aluminium outdoor wall light with an IP54 rating, designed to cast light both upwards and downwards through a dual-diffuser glass system. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) and mounts to an exterior wall via a concealed back plate, projecting 70mm from the wall surface once installed.

The dual-diffuser configuration uses transparent and sandblasted tempered glass set at the top and bottom of the cylindrical housing, directing light up onto the wall above and down onto the ground below. This up-and-down wash effect works well on entrance porches, beside garage doors, along pathways, and flanking external doorways where both vertical wall illumination and ground-level visibility are needed. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for covered outdoor locations such as under eaves, canopies and porch roofs.

The powder-coated die-cast aluminium body is finished in a mid-tone grey that resists UV fading and corrosion from rain and moisture exposure. At 170mm in length and with a relatively compact 70mm projection, the Jupiter suits walls where deeper fittings would obstruct pathways or doorways. The E27 socket accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to the maximum wattage stated in the Specification tab, giving flexibility to choose colour temperature and brightness to match the setting.

Can this be used in exposed outdoor locations?

The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes, making it suitable for covered outdoor locations such as under eaves, canopies and porch roofs. It is not rated for full weather exposure in uncovered positions subject to driving rain or standing water.

What bulb does it take?

The Jupiter takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-12W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor path and entrance lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided the bulb installed is dimmable and the mains circuit is wired to a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming capability.

How is it mounted?

The fitting mounts to an exterior wall via a concealed back plate fixed with screws. The back plate hides the wiring entry point and provides a secure fixing to masonry, brick or timber-framed walls. The cylindrical housing then clips or fastens onto the back plate, concealing all fixings once installed.
