Description
The Jazz is a single-light wall fitting with a curved brass-coloured arm that extends from a circular backplate and terminates in an upward-facing conical shade. The design references the bell and slide of a trombone, translating the instrument's form into a functional light fitting. The shade is painted in a matte gold finish that softens reflections and gives warmth under both daylight and artificial light.
Designed for living rooms, hallways, bedrooms and hospitality spaces where ambient or accent lighting is needed without overhead fittings, the Jazz directs light upwards onto the ceiling where it reflects back down as diffused illumination. The 530mm arm projection means the fitting works best on walls with clearance — alcoves, chimney breasts, corridor walls and areas where the extended arm enhances rather than obstructs the space. The fitting accepts a single E27 bulb (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or filament bulbs depending on the desired light temperature and brightness.
The gold painted finish is applied to metal and presents as a warm, low-sheen brass tone that pairs with mid-century, art deco and warm contemporary interiors. The cone shade opening measures approximately 180mm at the mouth, wide enough to allow substantial upward light throw while keeping the bulb hidden from direct view when standing at average height. The circular backplate is 180mm diameter and mounts flush to the wall with concealed fixings. At 0.85kg the fitting requires secure wall mounting into a solid wall or a supporting batten.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Jazz takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting, or with a decorative filament bulb where the bulb itself acts as a design feature.
Is it dimmable?
Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen and the dimmer switch installed. Use a dimmable LED bulb with a compatible LED dimmer to achieve smooth dimming performance. Halogen and filament bulbs dim on standard dimmers.
Does the light shine upwards or downwards?
The cone shade opens upwards, directing light onto the ceiling where it reflects back down as diffused ambient illumination. The bulb itself is not visible from normal standing positions, preventing glare.
Can it be installed on a plasterboard wall?
At 0.85kg the fitting requires secure mounting. On plasterboard walls without studs behind, use appropriate cavity fixings rated for the weight. On solid walls, standard screws and wall plugs are sufficient.
