Description
The Jannik is a 235mm tall outdoor LED wall light with a rectangular graphite metal housing interrupted by two horizontal bands of clear glass. Behind each glass band sits an integrated 3.8W LED module casting light both upward and downward, creating a split beam pattern on the wall surface. The total output is 7.6W across both modules, running at a warm 3000K colour temperature.
Designed for mounting on external house walls, covered porch areas, garage sides and garden walls where accent lighting is needed without a large fitting projection. The 102mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting close to the building line, while the IP44 rating provides protection against rain splash and dust ingress in covered outdoor locations. The up-and-down light pattern suits positions either side of doorways, along pathways, or flanking garage doors where the double beam highlights the architectural feature without glare.
The graphite powder-coated metal frame resists corrosion and provides a low-reflectivity dark grey finish that recedes visually against brick, render and dark cladding. The clear glass bands allow the LED glow to read as two distinct horizontal lines when lit, rather than a single diffused wash. The integrated LEDs are non-replaceable but are rated for 25,000+ hours of operation, equivalent to approximately 15 years at 4-5 hours per evening use.

Frequently Asked
Is the Jannik suitable for fully exposed outdoor locations?
The IP44 rating provides protection against rain splash and dust, making it suitable for covered outdoor areas such as porches, covered doorways and under eaves. For fully exposed positions open to driving rain, a higher IP rating (IP54 or IP65) would be more appropriate.
Can the LED modules be replaced if they fail?
The integrated LEDs are non-replaceable. However, the modules are rated for 25,000+ hours of operation, which equates to approximately 15 years of typical evening use. If a module fails within the manufacturer warranty period, the entire fitting would be replaced rather than individual components.
Does the light cast upward and downward?
Yes. Each of the two glass bands houses an LED module that casts light both upward and downward, creating a split beam pattern on the wall surface. This gives a more architectural effect than a single direction flood.
What fixing method does the Jannik use?
The fitting mounts to an external wall via a rear mounting plate. You will need suitable fixings for your wall substrate (masonry screws and plugs for brick or block, wood screws for timber cladding). Mains cable enters through the rear of the housing and connects via a junction box or direct to the circuit cable depending on local wiring practice.
