Made from solid oak, MDF, tempered glass and oak veneer, our Italic Black Oak Sideboard brings together honest materials in a low, considered form. We finish the timber in a deep Black Oak tone that shows the grain beneath, and we pair it with two reeded glass sliding doors that soften the view of the shelves inside. The glass fronts let light pass through while still keeping the contents partly screened, so what sits behind reads as texture rather than clutter. It rests on four round legs that lift the whole piece clear of the floor, giving it an easy, open stance.

This sideboard is designed to work hard without drawing attention to the effort. Measuring 135cm wide, 73.4cm high and 48cm deep, it offers a broad top for a table lamp base, a run of books or a tray of glasses, and the interior shelves hold everything from linens to serving ware behind the sliding doors. Each shelf takes an evenly distributed load of up to 15kg, while the top surface carries up to 50kg spread across it. The two reeded doors glide side to side, so we have kept access simple in tight corners where a swinging door would not fit. At 51kg it feels solid and settled once in place.
