Description
The Isla is a 640mm table lamp built around a double-gourd white ceramic base with a light pink laminated fabric shade and aged brass metal collar and finial. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately), housed inside the tapered drum shade which diffuses light through the pink fabric.
Designed for bedside tables, nursery surfaces and living room side tables where soft ambient light is needed within arm's reach, the Isla sits on a circular footprint of 360mm diameter. The double-gourd base gives the lamp a lower centre of gravity than single-bulb ceramic lamps, reducing the risk of toppling when knocked. The light pink shade filters the bulb output into a warm glow that suits evening use and pairs well with cream, grey, white and pastel interior schemes.
The white ceramic base has a high-gloss finish that catches daylight and reflects neighbouring colours, making the lamp appear lighter in tone than matt-finish ceramics. The aged brass collar sits between the base and shade, providing tonal contrast against both the white ceramic and pink fabric. The combination of white, pink and aged brass gives the Isla a palette that works across contemporary, transitional and traditional interiors without appearing overly ornate.
The E27 socket accepts standard Edison screw LED, halogen or filament bulbs, allowing the user to choose their preferred colour temperature and brightness. Most users pair this lamp with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside reading or ambient lighting in a nursery or sitting room.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Isla takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or ambient use.
Is the shade removable for cleaning?
Yes. The shade lifts off the brass collar via a finial at the top. The fabric shade can be dusted with a soft brush or cloth. The ceramic base can be wiped clean with a damp cloth when the lamp is unplugged.
What surface size does it need?
The lamp has a 360mm circular footprint and stands 640mm tall. It suits most standard bedside tables, side tables and nursery furniture with a surface area of at least 400mm square to give clearance around the base.
Is it suitable for a child's room?
The Isla is often used in nurseries and children's rooms for its soft pink light output. The ceramic base is breakable if knocked over, so it should be placed on stable furniture away from the edge and out of reach of young children who might pull on the cable.
