Description

The Ios is a 1000mm linear suspension light carrying six pivoting GU10 spotlights on a matt black horizontal bar. Each spotlight head rotates through 330 degrees, allowing the light to be directed onto specific areas of a kitchen island, dining table or bar surface. The heads are cylindrical with a slightly domed profile, angled downward from the bar and spaced evenly across the 1000mm length.

Designed for task lighting over long horizontal surfaces, the Ios suits kitchen islands between 1200-1600mm wide, dining tables seating 6-8, and commercial bar counters where directed light is needed without fixed downlight positions. The adjustable drop between 150mm and 1110mm allows the bar to be set at the correct height above the worktop or table depending on ceiling height. Each spotlight takes a GU10 bulb (sold separately), giving control over beam angle, colour temperature and brightness.

The matt black finish on the bar, canopy and spotlight heads absorbs light rather than reflecting it, reducing glare and keeping visual focus on the illuminated surface below rather than the fitting itself. The bar itself is 150mm deep front-to-back, projecting enough to accommodate the spotlight heads without the fitting appearing flat or insubstantial when viewed from the side. At 2.16kg the fitting has enough weight to hang stable on the suspension cables without swaying under air movement from opening doors or windows.

Can the spotlight heads be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Each head pivots through 330 degrees on its mount, allowing light to be redirected onto different areas of the surface below or angled to avoid glare. The heads hold position once adjusted without needing to be tightened.

What ceiling height does it need?

The 1110mm maximum drop works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above when the bar is set 600-800mm above a kitchen island or dining table. The minimum 150mm drop is suitable for lower ceilings or situations where the bar needs to sit closer to the ceiling.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is not dimmable. If dimming is needed, pair the Ios with dimmable GU10 LED bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer on the circuit. Dimmer compatibility varies by bulb brand, so check the bulb specification before installing a dimmer.
