Description
The Inglenook is a 406mm-wide Tiffany-style wall light built from individual pieces of amber, sapphire blue and cream stained glass set in a geometric Arts & Crafts pattern, held by a valiant bronze metal frame. Two E14 bulb fittings sit behind the glass shade, casting light through the coloured sections to project warmth and pattern onto the wall and surrounding space.
Designed for hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms and sitting room alcoves where decorative accent lighting adds character without overpowering the space, the Inglenook mounts flush to the wall with a 140mm projection. The stained glass diffuses bulb glare while allowing enough light through for the piece to function as secondary or ambient lighting rather than primary task illumination. The geometric pattern and colour combination suit traditional, Arts & Crafts, Art Deco and heritage interiors where period detail matters.
Each shade is assembled from cut glass pieces in a copper-foil method similar to original Tiffany techniques, meaning the exact tonal variation and glass texture differ slightly between individual fittings depending on the batch of glass used. The valiant bronze finish on the metal frame provides an oxidised, aged appearance rather than bright new bronze, giving the fitting a settled, heritage look that pairs with antique furniture and worn wood finishes. The 178mm fitting height and 406mm width suit wall spaces above sideboards, on either side of a chimney breast, or flanking a mirror in a hallway.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Inglenook takes two E14 small Edison screw bulbs, up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs around 4-6W and 2700K to complement the amber and cream glass tones.
Is the stained glass the same on every fitting?
The pattern is consistent, but the exact tonal variation and glass texture differ slightly between individual fittings depending on the batch of glass used in production. This is typical of copper-foil stained glass assembly and adds to the handcrafted character.
What rooms suit this style?
The Inglenook works best in traditional, Arts & Crafts, Art Deco and heritage interiors. It suits hallways, dining rooms, bedrooms and sitting room alcoves where decorative wall lighting adds period detail without needing to provide primary task illumination.
How is it fitted to the wall?
The fitting mounts to a standard wall bracket via a backplate, with the electrical connection made behind the backplate. Professional installation is recommended to ensure the 140mm projection is securely supported and the wiring is correctly terminated.
