Description

The Ignitia LED suspension fixing kit provides two spring-loaded steel brackets designed for ceiling or wall mounting of Ideal Lux Ignitia LED suspension systems. Each bracket measures 75mm in length with a 30mm projection from the mounting surface, and uses an internal spring mechanism to grip and hold the suspension cable under tension.

Intended for installation where standard ceiling roses cannot accommodate the specific cable configuration used in Ignitia LED suspensions, the kit includes the brackets, stainless steel fixing screws, nylon wall plugs, and metal washers needed for installation into plasterboard, masonry, or timber ceiling joists. The spring-loaded design allows the cable to be fed through the bracket during installation and automatically grips once tension is applied, eliminating the need for separate cable grips or crimps.

The steel construction gives each bracket the structural strength to support the weight of multi-element Ignitia suspension configurations without deforming over time. The natural steel finish oxidises to a neutral grey that blends into white ceilings or can be painted to match the mounting surface. The 30mm projection keeps the bracket body clear of typical UK ceiling depths and allows the suspension cable to drop vertically without rubbing against the ceiling edge.

What Ignitia systems is this kit compatible with?

This fixing kit is designed specifically for Ideal Lux Ignitia LED suspension systems. It is not a universal suspension bracket and may not be compatible with other manufacturers' cable suspension lighting.

What's included in the kit?

The kit includes two spring-loaded steel brackets, four stainless steel fixing screws, four nylon wall plugs, and four metal washers. Cable and lighting elements are sold separately as part of the Ignitia LED system.

Can the brackets be painted?

Yes. The steel brackets can be painted to match the ceiling or wall surface. Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol before painting and use a metal primer if the steel has already oxidised to grey.

What ceiling types are they suitable for?

The brackets can be fixed to plasterboard with the included wall plugs, directly into timber joists with the screws, or into masonry ceilings with appropriate wall plugs. For plasterboard-only installation without joist backing, consider additional support if the suspended system is particularly heavy.
