Description

The Hulton is a five light ceiling pendant built around open lattice metalwork set into a wide circular frame. It measures 520mm across and carries five E27 lamp holders, so it casts a broad, ambient light across a room. The metal is finished in matt black with a rustic bronze effect, which leaves the cage looking warm and worn rather than shiny. It hangs from an adjustable chain with a black cable, and the whole fitting weighs around 3.5kg.

This is a design for rooms that can take some presence overhead, such as a kitchen diner, a hallway with height, or a living space with a table to anchor it. The open frame throws light and shadow through the lattice, which works well in relaxed, rustic and country style interiors. With five lamps it can push real brightness, up to 300W in total, yet it is dimmable, so you can bring it down low for the evening. Wall and semi flush versions are available if you want to carry the look through a hall or landing.

The pendant is height adjustable from 600 to 1350mm, letting you set the drop to suit your ceiling. It is a Class 1 earthed fitting, so it needs an earth connection and is best installed by a qualified electrician, while the IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor rooms. It takes five E27 lamps, and we would suggest LED filament bulbs to suit the open cage. Keep it looking its best with a soft, dry cloth and switch off at the wall before cleaning.
