The polished nickel finish reflects daylight and creates a clean, contemporary accent that pairs with grey, white, soft blue and warm neutral colour schemes. The semi-flush mount fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose with minimal projection, so the fitting sits close to the ceiling plane without needing drop rods or chains.

The seeded glass shade measures approximately 313mm in diameter and tapers from a wider top rim to a narrower base, directing most of the light downwards while allowing some upward spill through the open top. The two E27 bulbs (sold separately) can be standard LED, halogen or filament types up to 60W each, giving flexibility to choose colour temperature and brightness to suit the room. The polished nickel metalwork is lacquered to reduce tarnishing and maintain the reflective finish.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 268mm fitting height works in rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights, leaving approximately 2.13m clearance below. This makes it suitable for hallways, bedrooms and living rooms where a full pendant would hang too low or obstruct movement.

What bulbs does it take?

The Hollister takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for general ambient lighting.

What is seeded glass?

Seeded glass contains small air bubbles deliberately introduced during manufacturing. These bubbles catch and scatter light, adding texture and creating subtle sparkle when the bulbs are lit. Each piece of seeded glass shows slightly different bubble distribution, so no two shades are identical.

How is the polished nickel maintained?

The polished nickel finish is lacquered to reduce tarnishing. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid household polishes or chemical cleaners which can damage the lacquer.
