Description

The Hinkley Hollis is a 3 light bathroom wall light with three opal glass globes mounted on a heritage brass bar frame. Each globe sits beneath a brass dome cap and houses a single E14 bulb (sold separately, up to 40W per fitting). The opal glass diffuses direct glare from the bulbs, casting soft ambient light across mirrors, vanity areas and bathroom walls.

Rated IP44, the Hollis is protected against splashes from any direction, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 where it can be mounted above mirrors, flanking a basin, or across a wider vanity run. The 606mm bar length suits single and double basin configurations, with the 193mm projection from the wall clearing typical mirror edges. The fitting mounts horizontally via a single oval backplate and requires standard UK fixed wiring to a junction box or back box.

The heritage brass finish sits between polished and antique brass in tone, with a subtle matte overlay that reduces reflections under bathroom lighting. The brass bar, backplate and dome caps are a single matched finish from the factory. Each opal glass globe measures approximately 152mm in diameter and the white opal layer inside the glass is consistent across the three shades, so light colour remains uniform when all three bulbs are switched on.

The IP44 rating makes the Hollis suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, which covers areas outside the immediate shower or bath enclosure. It should not be mounted inside a shower cubicle (zone 1) or directly above a bath within the 2.25m vertical zone (zone 0 or 1).

What bulbs does it take?

Three E14 small Edison screw bulbs, up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle or golf-ball bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for bathroom vanity lighting.

Can it be installed with the bar vertical instead of horizontal?
